DEPARTEMENTAL BRETON MUSEUM

The Breton departmental museum is installed since 1911 in the Palace of the Bishops of Cornwall, the most remarkable monument of Quimper after the cathedral to the south of which it is built.

It was one of the first museums in France, from the years 1860-1870, to be interested in regional ethnography and popular arts. The collection that began then, and continues, makes this museum the main conservatory of history, ethnography and regional arts of Finistère.

The Breton departmental museum invites you to a journey of two centuries in the history of this familiar tradition and identity that represents the Breton costume, through a completely renewed presentation.

The museum offers a new exhibition through photographs of photographers and costumes presented on models. The course invites you to discover the great diversity of a year, a terroir.

The mode of Poher present in 42 communes, it occupies the territory of central Brittany.

DOMAINE DE BOUTIGUERY PARK

Between Quimper and Bénodet, discover a park of 20 hectares. Flowering peak in May from a magnificent collection of 40,000 rhododendron and azaleas plants. Stroll through the forest down to the banks of the Odet River, a family walk in nature.

It is a beautiful park with its collection nursery and meet passionate landscape designer Virginie who will tell you the story of her unique family in Brittany.
